Project Landrover evoques memories for ex pupil

On Monday 26 September an ex student from Dane Court came to the school. Sean Henstridge is a designer for Range Rover and works in Warwick and made the journey to Dane Court in the new Range Rover Evoque. Students taking GCSE and AS graphics were involved in a task to design a new aspect of the Range Rover Evoque for the next facelift. Sean gave an introductory speech about how he got into the industry and how the design process of a car works. Students then went out to have a good look round the top of the range car to conduct some research.

Dane Court Crohn’s fun run

What made a psychedelic hippy, a mad cow and a 'Dorothy' run around the Dane Court Grammar School campus last Thursday? To be fair, they were in similar company as they were followed by an inflatable football, several Tallinn Tigers and a good selection of staff and students. Their target was to raise money for a Crohn's Vaccine which could change the lives of many people worldwide.

Dane Court prize evening 2011

The annual prize evening took place at the Winter Gardens in Margate. The event provides an opportunity to celebrate the outstanding achievement of many of our students and staff.

Mr Pullen praised the performance of the students at all levels throughout the school and added his congratulations to those individuals who achieved exceptional results.

Triple gold for Joann

Joann attended the World Kick Boxing Championship this summer in a week long event in Germany. Over the course of the week she competed in three individual events; light sparring and semi – contact sparring both in the under 55Kg category and the Korean forms.
In all three events she won gold medals and was selected for the junior female team competing in the light and semi contact sparring categories where the team won silver in both events.
