Our Year 10 Football Team, twice winners of the Kent Cup, have been short-listed for the voting stage of this year's Kent Sports Awards promoted by Kent Regional News and Media.
Since year seven this team has lost just one game of football against other Kent opposition (played 35, won - 31, drawn - 1, lost - 3). Last year they won the U13 Kent Cup 4-0 and reached the third round of the National Cup. This year they reached the last 16 (round 8) of the National Cup, from over 800 entries. They also won the Kent Cup for the second year in a row, 3-1, a feat very rarely achieved, on both occasions beating schools with at least twice as many boys to choose from in the year group.
They have never lost a game of Futsal in Kent and have been Kent Champions in Years seven, eight and nine. In year seven and eight they represented the county in the National Tournament and this year in the Southern Regions Tournament.

Ms Riley, Head of Sorrento House, was among the tens of thousands of helpers at the London 2012 Olympics who gave their time as Gamesmakers. Here she tells us what it was like.
I applied for a position as volunteer for the 2012 Olympics over two years ago and finally after interviews, 16 hours of training and a fitting for the now very familiar uniform I began my first shift at 5:00am on Saturday 28 July at the ExCel, London.
