On Wednesday 4 July, under the baking sun Dane Court competed at the Thanet Athletics Championships, with all 4 teams becoming team champions (under 13s and under 15s boys and girls).

Every member of the team showed a combination of talent and determination to ensure good finishes in all track and field events. Details on individual success will follow soon, but the PE department would like to extend their congratulations and thanks to all who took part, we are very proud, well done on a great team effort.

Although only the winners are listed below, many also achieved silver and bronze medals. Every ounce of effort that was shown by the Dane Court team was greatly appreciated and vital for the overall victories, as every point counts. It was however, that with great pleasure we watched an excellent display of controlled middle distance running across all four teams. These were then followed up with strong performances in the field and some excellent sprinting, especially by Tom Halfpenny and Alice Fox. It must also be noted that the Under 13 girls did a clean sweep in all track events, well done girls and well done again to all who took part.
