Both Dane Court Grammar School and King Ethelbert School worked to a tight deadline today to produce the news for real. All students involved were outstanding and produced amazing work. They were ambassadors to their schools and showed what team work and dedication can produce given such a tight deadline.

Car parking on site

Thank you to the vast majority of parents who have heeded our request not to bring cars on to the school site to collect their children at the end of the day.
Unfortunately, several parents are still driving onto site and we would ask again, on health and safety grounds, that these parents refrain from doing so.
Whilst we understand that roadside parking near the school is at a premium, please park safely and considerately, particularly around school finishing time when numerous public service buses stop in both Broadstairs Road and Fairfield Road.

Two students from Dane Court Grammar School entered a competition organised by the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation. The competition aims to encourage young people from around the world to express their concern for the environment and, in particular, the endangered species with whom we share our fragile planet through art and poetry. This year children were invite to submit art work or poetry on the theme ‘It’s Our World’ and required schools or individuals to think about the impact that human activity is having on our planet and the many species of endangered animals. The competition, this year, was generously sponsored by Marks and Spencer
