Versace, eat your heart out! Dane Court students from years 7 to 11 exercised their considerable creative skills this week in designing and modelling fantastic outfits fashioned from 'value' bin bags. With each outfit costing approximately 10p, the results show pretty amazing value for money! In just 20 minutes five black sacks were transformed into 'little black dresses', wedding gowns, handbags, shoes and hair accessories!





On Thursday 17 November the Inter-house drama competition saw Sorrento win the George Ruddle, Drama competition trophy. After coming first in both the junior and senior competition, Sorrento were the clear winners of this very significant award.
Celebration assemblies have kicked off again. Various factors before half term saw these assemblies get sidelined on more than one occasion, but I am very keen to say 'well done' to you all as a house – you consistently try hard and show a positive outlook towards everything you do. Today saw our ninth recipient of their stripes – Charlotte Musgrove in year 8. Congratulations!
This first half term has been slightly hectic for everyone involved in the great change to the house system. It has been confusing and trying on occasions, but ultimately it gives us a more caring and supportive structure within the school.
