DCGS Chatter - edition 4

Chatter, the Dane Court student newspaper, welcomes staff and students to our new academic year.
Chatter newspaper is a compilation of articles, reviews and school information written by students from across all our year groups. We are delighted to have the opportunity of working with some of our new Year 7s who have produced some super write-ups, including a wonderful first month update by Oscar in 7S on page 9
We are thrilled to introduce our first competition of the year, created by Erica in 8D. Erica is feeling suitably seasonal and has written a spooky short story to inspire you to write your own. Take a look at page 17 and if your spooky entry is chosen you could win one of two bumper Hallowe'en prize packs!
For any of you who would like to join the Chatter team, or see what we do, you are welcome to come to the library when we meet at 1:45pm on Wednesdays and Fridays.

IB at 50 - inspirational stories

IBat50 250px 2018 marks 50 years since the International Baccalaureate community was founded.
In contrast Dane Court Grammar School has been an IB World School for a mere decade.
Nevertheless our students and teachers have benefited from the IB's high standards and innovation in the field of education.

The IB website is currently celebrating their 50 years of successes with the eye-opening IB Stories which presents some of the many achievements of its alumni and dedication of those teaching the Diploma Programme and Career-related Programme.

Here at Dane Court we offer both the Diploma and Career-related Programmes with a wide range of subject choices and a variety of flexible course formats.

New school year and uniform reminder

uniform_131px The start of the new school year for all students is 8:40am on Wednesday 5 September 2018.

Important documents are available in our Summer Mailing section.
There will be a few more items added in August and September (Homework Timetables, for example) so please check back later.

Students in years seven to 11 should wear standard uniform when they return to school.
