The end of the House year saw Sorrento as runaway victors of the House Cup by a staggering 49 points! Always famed for their fifth or sixth slot the reversal in fortune was a real achievement for Captains Sam Hornsey, Maria Steffanini and Emily Jones; well done also to Miss Riley and Mrs Parsons who have supported the efforts to make Sorrento such convincing winners!

This year's House Captains have been fantastic, giving up a great deal of their own time to organise and run games and activities in the lunch hours and after school. The 'Just Dance' competition was the first of several really popular new competitions this year and hopefully we will hear another blast of 'Ra Ra Rasputin' coming from the plazas soon! Sports have been well supported, as have some of the smaller competitions (including the rather gross 'fluffy bunny' marshmallow-eating event). Students are about to vote for the next set of House Captains for 2012. Hopefully they will serve their term as successfully as the 'class of 2011' and will also have a great deal of fun too.
