Last year, we were just one and a half points from retaining the House Trophy for the second year. Very well done to Neuchatel, but beware; we'll be aiming higher than ever this year.
We wish to welcome our year 7's who have already settled in and become completely immersed in the house system, competing in many of the interhouse competitions. Last year they won the year 7 quiz and also won the drama cup for Sorrento, so a big thank you and well done to them.
We also wish to thank Ella Boswell and Joshua Escucher who competed in the climbing competition and got better and better each week.
Emily Bennet in year 8 wrote a magnificent poem for the Anti-Bullying competition, and so a big thank you to her too.
Year 9 won the Dodgeball competition, so well done to all of you who competed.
In year 10, Amy Napier, Ellie Terziyski and Hannah Keenan sang a Taylor Swift number beautifully, and placed second in the Talent competition.
And there's so many more we want to thank, for helping Sorrento do so well last year. There's the collectors, puppet makers, the supporters, the artists, the sportsmen/women, and the House Captains, who helped motivate the house. 2012 was a brilliant year, and we're looking forward to the challenges 2013 is sure to bring, and hopefully this year, we'll win back the House Cup!
