football_league_logo_250pxHelsinki House's chosen charity, National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) has been shortlisted to be the official charity of the Football League for the 2012-2013 season.

If the charity wins the vote it will make the work of the NSPCC known to many more people and help to support the ChildLine Schools Service.
Football league clubs and official fans have th opportunity to vote on the final decision but you can too if you hurry.
Visit the voting page by midnight on Wednesday 7 December 2011 and cast your vote in favour of NSPCC to help raise up to half a million pounds for our charity.

childline_logo_200pxResearch shows that younger children can be especially vulnerable to abuse because they have less awareness of what it is and may not know how to seek help when it happens. The ChildLine Schools Service is visiting every primary school across the UK and Channel Islands at least every two years, talking to hundreds of thousands of children to help them understand what abuse is, how to keep themselves safe and where to get help.
By reaching children earlier and younger, we aim to reduce the number of children suffering abuse and neglect, and encourage them to speak out about their problems at a younger age.
