Every house at Dane Court will have an anthem, logo and mascot.

We have started by choosing the wolf as our mascot. Helsinki house members are now officially Helsinki Wolves.

Grey wolves live in north east Finland near the border with Russia. In fact they wander freely between the two countries with around 150 considered to be living mainly in Finland. 

Their numbers are endangered and the Finnish government is introducing laws to protect the wolves from hunters. In recent years the grey wolf numbers in Finland have been a cause for concern for reindeer farmers in the area who say the wolves have killed some of their livestock.
