Swimmers out in force

MO1L8043 250pxOn Saturday 13 January 2018 the Dane Court swim team competed in the Kent Secondary Schools Individuals Gala. Overall Dane Court won 18 medals.

The junior medal winners were;

  • William Reeves with two medals; 2nd on 200m IM and 4th on his 100m butterfly
  • Amber Piper getting 4th on her 100m breastroke

The intermediate medal winners were;

  • Halle Broughton getting two medals, 3rd on 100m butterfly and 4th on her 100m backstroke
  • Lucy Hickmott gaining 6th place on her 100m backstroke
  • Katie Macrae getting two medals, 6th on the 100m breastroke and 5th on her 200m IM
  • Josh Crabtree winning medals for coming 4th on his 100m butterfly and 6th on his 100m Backstroke
  • Oscar Miles getting 4th on his 100m breastroke
  • Ben Millington gaining 3rd on his 200m IM
  • Nicole Palmer-Jones getting 6th on her 100m butterfly and 5th on the 100m freestyle
  • Olivia Miles winning two medals, 3rd on her 100m freestyle and 2nd on her 200m IM

The senior medal winner was Hannah Denny winning 2nd place on her 100m butterfly and 1st place on her 100m freestyle.

Other participants were Amy Topping, Lottie Scriven, Freya Kemp, Finley Hickmott, Zack Connor and Freddie Sutton.

The boys 19 points placed them at a very respectable joint 4th out of 41 schools entered (behind Sevenoaks School, Judd school and Simon Langton).

The girls won 37 points finishing 1st and earning them the Top Girls Shield for the second year running!
A close competition between Dane Court, Walthamstow Hall, Weald of Kent Grammar and Sevenoaks School.

The opportunities our swimmers experience are largely down to the enormous efforts of a number of dedicated parents. We would like to thank them all for their tireless support and the ongoing success of the Dane Court team.
