AS and A level results

SNV31280_350pxDane Court Grammar School are celebrating another excellent set of sixth form results. 96% of all exams were passed with all of the school's International Baccalaureate students gaining the full diploma and over 50% of all A Level students being awarded an A*, A or B grade.

There are some outstanding individual performances with 27 students achieving at least  three A* or A grades. Joanna Corless and James Preston both secured 42 points out of 45 in their International Baccalaureate exams. James Preston also secured a place at Oxford University to study Earth Sciences. An incredible performance that equates to over four A*s at A Level while fellow International Baccalaureate students Jan- Constantin Christopherson (39 points), Sarah Mohamadally (38 points) and Charlotte Munday (38 points) gained the equivalent of four A*s at A Level. Chris Leonard was awarded three A*s and two A grades at A Level, James Weale three A*s and one A while James Arter and Beth Bryant both achieved three A* grades.

At AS Level there were also a number of excellent performances with Kerry Long being awarded an outstanding five A grades and Joseph Larkin and Imlay Smith both gaining four straight A grades.

SNV31265_350pxExecutive Headteacher Paul Luxmoore was delighted with the results and said, "Again both students and staff have worked very hard to make sure that all our students have achieved their very best and this has not only meant that they have gained top grades in their exams but it has also ensured that they have won places at the best universities."

Simon Pullen, Headteacher, praised both staff and students saying, "As usual I have been impressed by the skill and dedication of our Sixth Form staff and want to thank them for helping support our students throughout the course of the studies."

Annie Hale, Head of Sixth Form said, "I am so happy for all of the Sixth Form who have made a fantastic contribution to the school while they have been here and who have worked so hard to produce a tremendous set of results. I wish them all well in their future careers."
